Michael Simon sweaters were completely hand-made, and due to the show in the 90's , The Nanny, the sweaters became popular outside of New York City, where they were already sought after! Own a piece of wearable art ! These sweaters retailed in the 90s, 150 and up, and some went into thousands depending on embellishments again due to all the work by hand! The prices are starting to climb again! Grab while you can at this price point!
This vinatge sweater from 1997 is in remarkable condition. The only flaws I saw were texture to the felt squares, and I have included close-up pictures. There are also small scratches on the top button. I am not sure if it is piling on the felt shapes or by design. The colorblocks are made of felt and knitted shapes in bold colors.
