Mars and Beyond A Tomorrowland Adventure 1959 Paperback Disney

This is a 48-page paperback, Mars and Beyond, copyrighted by Disney in 1959 and published by L. W. Singer Company Inc. It is based on a 1957 television episode and Walt Disney's Tomorrowland film, Man and Mars (1957). Intended for school use, a historical and scientific analysis is presented, followed by speculation on what space travel would be like in the future and what might be discovered about Mars. The story was adapted by Willy Ley and illustrated with numerous photos and production art. There are also drawings by Nino Carbe. The cover is heavily shelf worn, and there is an area at the top corner where it appears a sticker may have been removed. The previous owner's name is neatly written inside the front cover. The cover has pulled away around the bottom staple but the staples are holding the pages together securely. The top corners of the pages are curled slightly from turning. There is no other writing in the book, just some small, light smudges (see photo #9).
